Once in the heart of his territory, Death and the Demon Lord exchange banter. To this end the Hunter has been responsible for the deaths of the rest of his kind by leading the demons to them.ĭeath decides to hunt down Belial at the Hunter's request. He reluctantly explains that a demon lord named Belial has taken custody of his soul and unless the Hunter does what he says then it will be forever damned in Hell. The leader of Earth's stranded angels, Uriel, has called Death back to the Earth to share with him some important news: recently her men have reported sightings of what just might be the last of the humans and asks the Horseman to investigate.Īrriving at whats left of the human race, Death is aided in the fight against several demons by The Hunter, who claims to be the last of humanity, much to his shame. Over the eons it in turn can build more Abyssal Forges on other worlds should it escape it's long imprisonment. A sentient forge that draws its strength from the Abyss itself, using said power it has forged an army of constructs also powered by the Abyss. However, something else was imprisoned with him, The Abyssal Forge his finest creation. He explains that eons ago he was imprisoned in the void inside the Tree and that is where they are.
However, the Maker is able to buy his life at the last moment with the promise of answers for his would be slayer. He soon encounters an Undead Maker simply known as The Mad Smith.īelieving Death to be an assassin sent by the Makers, the two do battle. While in transit in the Tree of life, Death falls into a world known only as the Shadow Lands.
